    Meet The Faculty

    Brendan Young, DSW, LSW
    Program Director
    Assistant Professor of Social Work

    Dr. Young is an alumnus of La Salle's MSW program and has served in several departmental roles, including chair of the Social Work Department Advisory Board, helping develop the Master of Social Work program. Dr. Young earned his DSW from Kutztown University, focusing his research on how social work education prepares students for political engagement. He brings nearly a decade of experience as a healthcare social worker in hospice and Medicaid Managed Care. Active in local politics, he has worked on various campaigns and serves as an elected committeeperson in Philadelphia.
